Apple won’t tell you these details, so let’s break it down.
[1] Everyone’s excited about AI, but most features won’t be available at launch. Apple says they’re coming later this year, and some might require cloud processing—meaning potential subscription fees.
[2] The biggest change? Apple’s first in-house modem. It replaces Qualcomm’s, which sounds great, but early reports suggest it’s not as fast or efficient yet. Expect battery life improvements, but signal strength? Unclear.
[3] USB-C is here, but don’t get too excited. Data transfer speeds are still limited, similar to Lightning. Only Pro models get full USB 3.0 speeds.
[4] The A18 chip isn’t the Pro version. That means weaker AI performance long-term. Apple Intelligence might work better on future models with stronger hardware.
[5] The display is still 60Hz. In 2025. When mid-range Androids have 120Hz as standard.
[6] At $599, it’s a decent deal, but let’s be real—this is Apple’s way of making AI feel more affordable without giving you the best experience.
Too many trade-offs. I’m waiting for the Next Model. What about you?
